Tigger and Winnie the Pooh paid a visit to the Magic Roundabout Nursery in Binfield, south London, to help the nursery raise over 400 for Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, while the children also dressed up as Disney characters, took part in waddling through colourful paint, made pancakes with honey and decorated a huge papier-mache Winnie the Pooh.

Canny nannies could also save their employers some money, the payroll service Nannytax informs us. Parents who use Nannytax are entitled to bonuses of up to 825 from the Government thanks to an Inland Revenue incentive to encourage the use of Electronic Data Interchange, whereby small employers file their staff tax data by computer rather than paperwork. All nannies have to do then is encourage their employers to share some of the bonus with them! Look out for the annual UK-wide nanny pay survey compiled by Nannytax in January's issue of Professional Nanny.
