The course was open to boys and girls, and children aged from seven to ten attended a 'mini soccer' course. Children who took part each received a certificate and a football memento. Just think how many we come across in the average day: washing machines, pedestrian crossings, DVD players, mobile phones, photocopiers - all examples of control technology. Adults are aware of technology - we remember a time before some of it existed - but young children have never known a time without it. New technology that wows adults is as normal as paper and pencil to a child.
