GROWING GREENS

Children at Yeladenu Pre-school have been visiting a local allotment that belongs to a grandparent of former pupils. They have been helping tend to the fruit and vegetables, while the grandparent has been demonstrating how they grow.
The children really look forward to the visits and have even enjoyed some of the produce at snack time, report staff. So far, the children have helped grow and pick grapes and tomatoes.
The setting is the first Jewish pre-school in Haringey.
