Introducing woodwork activities has been a highlight of recent work in the Annexe at Springfield Nursery in Barnstaple, encouraging deep levels of engagement and concentration.
The activities encompass creative thinking, maths skills, scientific investigation and physical development, and help develop language and vocabulary and build self-esteem and confidence.
