Defibrillators for Bristol

Monday, October 1, 2018

Bristol Childcare has installed defibrillators in each of its three nursery settings as the result of a fundraising campaign supported by the children, staff, parents and grandparents of the family-run group.

Managing director Saffia Bullock said, ‘The idea came from staff first-aid training in January 2017 where we learnt how fast access to a defibrillator in emergency situations can save lives. With all our staff being paediatric first-aid trained, including how to use a defibrillator, we felt that the next step was to ensure each nursery had a defibrillator on site.’
