East Leake Pre-School Playgroup took part in the Big Schools’ Birdwatch during its woodland walk in the local park.

Manager Sara Last said, ‘We found 14 pigeons, three sparrows, eight jackdaws, four great tits, two magpies, five blackbirds, two robins and one blue tit. The children used binoculars to get a better look at the birds. The children are learning the bird names and developing their knowledge and understanding of the world around us.’
