Position: Nursery teacher at Little Tree Montessori Nursery School in Crouch End

- You graduated this month from London Metropolitan University, with a two-year Montessori Early Childhood Foundation Degree. How did you find the course?

Doing the degree was really worthwhile and the best thing I could have done to gain the appropriate experience. I'm from Germany and came to the UK in 2007 to work as an au pair. I found out about and became interested in Montessori because the two children I cared for attended a Montessori school.

- How have you benefited from doing the foundation degree?

I've secured a position at a Montessori nursery in Crouch End as a nursery teacher, caring for the twoto three-and-a-half-year-olds.

- What are your future plans?

I want to build on my experience working at the nursery. I've also started the full degree on a part-time basis, which means I study for one day a week and work at the nursery for the other four days.
