Fresh advice on how to reduce the risk of infectious diseases in pre-school settings is available in a free information pack published by the Infection Control Nurses Association and the Community Practitioners Health Visitors Association. The guide, Keep it Clean and Healthy, provides handy lists of do's and don'ts for hygiene in nappy changing, handling toys and feeding equipment, and working in the kitchen, as well as guidance on how long children with different common infections should be kept home from a childcare setting. For individual copies, send a large A4 SAE (84p first class, 66p second class) to Pat Cole, Hartford Cottage, 1 Longstaff Way, Hartford, Huntingdon PE29 1XT. For a box of 115 copies, send a cheque payable to Pat Cole for 11.50 to cover postage.
