* Little Red Riding Hood retold by Josephine Evetts-Secker and illustrated by Nicoletta Ceccoli (Barefoot Books, hardback 10.99) - a beautifully illustrated retelling of the story.

* Shorter versions of the Red Riding Hood story appear in various collections of fairy tales, including Fairy Tales, told by Berlie Doherty and illustrated by Jane Ray (Walker Books, 14.99), and The Hutchinson Treasury of Fairy Tales (Hutchinson, 19.99).
