Pupils at Seahorse Nursery School in Southfields received a visit from a tanker from a national fuel supplier, Certas Energy.

They saw the vehicle and its safety features.

Alex Ward, London regional manager for Certas Energy, said: 'The children at Seahorse Nursery School have seen our tankers driving around their area before, so they were really excited to take a closer look.

'It was also a great opportunity to teach them about how the oil these tankers carry plays a vital role in their community.'

Julia Wolfe, principal at Seahorse Nursery School, said: 'Our pupils relished the opportunity to look around a real oil tanker and find out how it all works.

'This tanker visit gave them the opportunity to learn about oil in a hands-on manner, complementing our teaching in the classroom.'
