Three-year-old Ted helped celebrate World Bee Day at Osmotherley Pre-school on the edge of the North York Moors by wearing his own bee suit and bringing in a jar of honey harvested from his grandad’s hives.

Manager Gill Hunton said, ‘We raised awareness about the importance of bees and talked about how they move and ways in which people can help them survive. We raced around outside, buzzing like bees, and then painted patterns of yellow and black stripes.’
