The Nursery World Exchange is a day of scheduled, one-to-one meetings where nursery directors can address their settings’ requirements with leading early years suppliers and service providers in tranquil surroundings.

The events, which take place across the country, are free for nurseries to attend and include a sociable evening meal, drinks and an optional overnight stay, all courtesy of Nursery World.

The day also presents an opportunity to hear from experts and discuss key issues and common challenges with your peers in our panel debates.

The next event takes place on Thursday 20 March 2025 at The Oxford Belfry – Double Tree Hilton.

I'm eagerly anticipating future events organised by Nursery World. Your commitment to providing valuable information and fostering connections within the nursery industry is commendable, and I definitely want to be a part of similar events in the future.

Our previous Exchange events

Last year we held our 18th Nursery World Exchange event at The DoubleTree by Hilton in Cheltenham.

This included a panel debate on school-based nurseries with guest speaker Emma Neal, founder of Evidenced Education, who drew on her own experience of working with PVIs on school sites to inform the discussion.

Other events in 2024 took place in Sheffield and Cambridge.

Earlier Exchanges included an event at the The Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate in June 2023, which gave nurseries and suppliers the chance to meet each other, take part in a fun quiz, and enjoy dinner and drinks. The keynote speech was given by Aaron Bradbury, Principal Lecturer for Early Years and Childhood at Nottingham Trent University, based on his book co-edited with Ruth Swailes, Early Childhood Theories Today.
