TACT (Technically Advanced Coatings and Treatments) floor tiles are designed with nurseries and schools in mind. The plastic tiles click together to make patterns, games and sectioned areas, according to your design and desire, and they can be reused and recycled when necessary. They are waterproof, hardwearing and formulated to be non-slip so they can be used both indoors and outside. It takes about a day to put together an average-sized play area, and when laid outside the tiles can normally be put down without any need for resurfacing. They can be laid by a 'competent DIYer' or, if you prefer, one of the company's specialist floor layers. Priced around 25 per square metre and available from TACT Enviro.
