
Early years consultant, trainer and author, Alistair Bryce-Clegg has also received an honor – an MBE – as have a number of other nursery owners and early years staff.
Steel founded the Old Station Nursery group in 2002. It was taken over by French operator La Maison Bleue six years ago. In 2023 she stepped down as chief executive to become chair of the Old Station Nursery group. In 2021 she was named NDNA’s chair of trustees, a role she held for four years. Steel continues to sit on NDNA’s policy advisory board.
