Nursery World - The Birrell Collection Nursery School

The Birrell Collection Nursery School in Annandale Street, Edinburgh, last week held a science day to spark children's interest in electricity, space and science. The children went on a magnet hunt around the nursery and set up their own bubble factory as part of the day, one of a range of summer activities and outings specifically designed for Birrell Collection children due to start school in August. Birrell Collection principal Yvonne Birrell said, 'It's never too early to introduce children to science. At this age they have masses of enthusiasm which we hope will continue into their future education and careers.'
