(Photograph) - It was an eye for an eye for four-year-old Matthew Edwards during a science day held at the Birrell Collection Nursery School in Edinburgh earlier this month. The science day involved children exploring electricity, going on a magnet hunt around the nursery, experiencing a space room and setting up their own 'bubble factory'. Birrell Collection principal Yvonne Birrell said, 'It's never too early to introduce children to science. Starting at pre-school age they can begin to appreciate just how much fun science can be. At this age they have masses of enthusiasm that we hope will continue into their future education and careers.' Photo: Alistair Linford
