St Joseph's and Dalneigh primary schools awarded Scottish Executive target of Health Promoting School Status

St Joseph's and Dalneigh primary schools in Inverness are the latest schools in the Highlands to be awarded the Scottish Executive target of Health Promoting School Status. A spokesman from the local authority's development office said, 'Dalneigh Primary was particularly praised for their attention to activity for young people and their efforts to make the school environment healthier, and St Joseph's for their inclusive approach and partnership with parents.' The award criteria were developed by Highland Council and NHS Highland through guidelines and advice from the Health Promoting Schools Toolkit used by each school.
