Position: Stretch-n-grow teacher in nurseries and children's centres in Farnborough and Olympic judo team hopeful

Tell us about your Stretch-n-Grow classes for children aged 18 months to four years.

Each month we have a theme and I get the children to perform actions associated with that theme. I was encouraged by my own parents to get into physical activity as a child and took up judo aged six. Later I did a degree in exercise and health science at Bucks University.

Olympic organisers often talk about the legacy of the Games for young people. Do you think it will inspire many children?

As the Olympics draws closer some of the children are beginning to understand and look forward to it, although they are of course very young. I'm not sure what funding is in place to ensure there is a legacy to the Games, but I certainly try to ensure that my children learn from their classes for the future. We arrange handouts for the children to help them learn muscle names and educate them about nutrition and how foods can benefit or harm us.

You're part of the GB Judo team. Are we likely to see you at London 2012?

I had knee surgery three weeks ago which has interrupted my training. I will compete in the European Cup in Bosnia on 31 March, which is a sort of qualifying event for the Olympics. For the time being I'm just looking to do well in that.
