You recently won an award from Social Enterprise North West for Small Social Enterprise of the Year - what makes Unique Kidz so successful?
Our unique selling point is that we are two ordinary mothers who have children with special needs. Our dedicated team of childcare staff receive specific training to be able to meet the complex needs of children in our care, which is reassuring to parents.
What services do you currently offer?
We provide specialist services for disabled children, young people and their families, including after-school and holiday childcare.
You're planning on expanding your business and opening an inclusive nursery - what has spurred this move?
Parents of disabled children have few options, we want to help them and allow more to return to work and become part of society again. Our aim is to become a 'specialist hub', providing a point of contact for parents in the area and care for their children.
