- How did you work your way up to director?
I started at Inglewood Day Nursery in 1999 as a training manager helping to set up a college to support learners in the nursery. Shortly after, I was made nursery manager while continuing my role as training manager. The nursery was acquired by Casterbridge in 2008, when I was promoted to director of Inglewood Day Nursery in Reading, Elvetham Heath Nursery in Hampshire, and Dolphin Nursery in Kingston upon Thames.
- What previous experience did you have working in the sector?
Before I started at Inglewood Day Nursery I was an NVQ assessor at Berkshire College of Agriculture. I also have 33 years' experience working as a nursery nurse, a degree in professional studies and education, and a PGCE in early years education.
