The setting has a separate baby unit, a sensory room and play area for under-twos, and a large multi-function room for two- to eight-year-olds.
The spacious outdoor area also has a pets corner where children can feed the animals and collect eggs from the hens.
A Cumbria nursery school is celebrating the opening of its new children's centre, built as an extension on to the setting. The newly-combined Hindpool Nursery School and Children's Centre in Barrow in Furness has 45 places, and services include a creche, a toy library, courses for parents and Job Centre Pl's. Local councillor Anne Burns was accompanied by two nursery pupils as she cut the ribbon at the official opening.
