No plaything

As a leader of a small rural playgroup I was quite horrified by a toy one of my four-year-olds recently brought to show the other children. The toy, one of his birthday gifts, was a chainsaw with appropriate sounds, which he told me was 'just like Daddy's'. I am sure I was not the only concerned playgroup staff member and would welcome anyone's views on whether these 'replica toys' should be produced when the real ones are so dangerous.
