A ten-year-old boy was charged the full adult price at a restaurant after waiters claimed he was too tall for the children's menu, said the Daily Mail. Ben Gardner visited the Angel Chef Chinese restaurant in Gloucester with his parents, who questioned the bill. Waiters argued that Ben was 9cm over the 140cm height limit.

A school has banned children from wearing goggles in swimming lessonsfor fear they could hurt themselves, the Daily Telegraph said. Teachersat Ysgol Bryn Coch Junior School in Mold, Wales, said pupils could beinjured by goggles if a lens popped out or they 'snapped' on theirfaces. Some parents have removed their children from swimming lessons inprotest.
