(Photograph) - Nursery children performed music inspired by earth, air, fire and water inside a giant walk-in inflatable sculpture made up of 100 coloured chambers on London's Clapham Common last month. Around 80 children from Triangle, Stockwell, Holmewood and Fenstanton nurseries in the borough of Lambeth took part in the Colourscape Music Festival following a five-day workshop with a percussionist, singer and instrument maker. For information about forthcoming workshops contact Simon Desorgher on 020 8763 9298. The children made their own instruments, including panpipes, rainsticks and shakers. Colourscape is funded by Sure Start, the Foundation for Youth Music and local authorities.
