In brief...Childcare information at interactive kiosks

The Department for Education and Employment has struck a deal with Tesco and Lloyds Pharmacy to provide childcare information at interactive kiosks in selected branches. The links to the DfEE-funded interactive ChildcareLink website www.childcarelink.gov.uk will initially be offered at seven pilot Lloyds pharmacy stores and nine Tesco Internet cafes. The DfEE said in December that three branches of Mothercare would be the first stores with touch-screen kiosks for ChildcareLink and aims to have 8,000 such facilities in operation within two to three years.
