A unique 'environmental classroom'

A unique 'environmental classroom' is up and running in a Northern Ireland primary school. The classroom at Holy Trinity Primary School in Enniskillen was officially opened by education minister Martin McGuinness, who has also commissioned a wind turbine to provide the classroom with electricity as part of an initiative being funded by the Western Education and Library Board and the European Union's Interreg Energy Challenge programme. Holy Trinity has been awarded 'eco-school' status in a Europe-wide scheme that encourages whole-school action for the environment.
