A comprehensive cleaning of the nursery at Lauder College struck by last month's E. coli outbreak has been started by Careshare. New managing director Jonathan Bell said, 'This procedure will take a considerable length of time, but we are taking advice from the experts and working closely with them. By employing a specialist company using the very latest methods, we can assure parents the nursery will be completely safe when we are given the go-ahead to re-open.' Two of the four children who were being treated for kidney failure at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow because of the E. coli infection at the nursery were able to return home last Thursday. The remaining two were said to be 'stable with signs of improvement', NHS Fife said.
