- Holding the national launch of the EYFS was such an honour. How didthis come about?
We understand that Jackie Hardy, an early years advisor, who visited usin May, recommended our centre be used for the launch. Jackie wasparticularly impressed by the way we had started to implement the EYFSframework and our ability to radically improve our last Ofstedreport.
- How did you get into childcare?
After leaving school I realised how much I enjoyed looking afterchildren, and started a YTS placement at the centre. My managerrecommended that I take my NNEB and I was able to work my way up, beforebeing offered a position as deputy manager. I became centre manager in2006 and completed my NVQ level four.
