The survey, which is being carried out by Isos Partnership for the Local Government Association (LGA), is designed to understand the impact of rising numbers of children struggling developmentally and an increase in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP) in early years education and childcare from the perspective of frontline professionals and those leading settings in England.

Practitioners, nursery managers and owners from private and voluntary settings, as well as school-based providers, and childminders are invited to share their views on ‘what is really going on’ and ‘what needs to happen next.’

The findings will feed into a national report which will inform the LGA’s future support and advice for councils, and discussions with Government and wider stakeholders.
