
It comes as data from the Treasury last year revealed an underspend of billions of pounds on the Tax-Free Childcare scheme since it launched in 2017, due to continued low take-up of the scheme among parents and fewer families using it despite opening an account.
The aim of the 90-minute Zoom sessions which are being delivered by Hempsall’s on behalf of HMRC and taking place on 15 and 16 March, is to share up-to-date information and raise awareness and understanding of TFC. Attendees will be provided with ideas and ‘tools’ to motivate parents to sign up and use TFC to pay for childcare, out-of-school and holiday club provision.
