Who gets your vote - take part in our election poll!

Policy & Politics
With just weeks to go until the General Election and the main political parties releasing their manifestos this week, Nursery World is asking readers who they will be voting for and why?

Ahead of the general election on 4 July, we are asking readers will they be voting for the Conservatives, Labour, Liberal Democrats or the Green Party?Let us know by taking part in our X/Twitter poll here.

Just yesterday the Conservatives launched their manifesto promising further National Insurance cuts. However the party failed to commit to additional early years funding on top of what has already been announced.

Days earlier, the Liberal Democrats published their manifesto outlining plans for an early years careers strategy and to improve the recruitment and retention of childminders.

Labour’s manifesto includes promises to end child poverty and make sure the National Minimum Wage takes into account the cost of living. It also includes its plans to convert unused classrooms into school-based nurseries,

The Green party has also released its manifesto, promising to abolish Ofsted, increase school funding and move to a four-day working week. There is no specific mention of the early years sector however.
