Step by Step

* Make an activity chart by dividing a large sheet of card into vertical columns using a black marker pen, one for each child in the group. Title the card 'Today I have ...'

* Ask the children to write their name at the top of a column.

* Make activity cards by cutting out flowers from brightly coloured card. On each flower write the name of an activity which is available to the children, for example, 'drawn a picture', 'made a model', 'played in the sand'. Draw a picture on the flower to represent the activity. You will need duplicates of the activities so that there is one for each child in the group.
