Wet blankets

Do you look after a child who can't help wetting the bed? Drier sheets could be on the way with the aid of a new telephone helpline launched this month. The Bedwetting Education advisory line will offer advice and reassurance to carers and parents. It is run by qualifed nurse Helena Baker, who says, 'The important point to remember is that a child's self-esteem will improve once they become dry, and only 14 to 16 per cent of children will naturally become dry in one year, after the age of five or six, so it is worth seeking advice. There are so many treatment options available.' For confidential advice phone 0800 085 8189.
