Currently I am a student studying BA (Hons) Early Childhood Studies at the University of Plymouth (2022-2025). Although studying full-time, I am, however, not just a student. Throughout my studies, I have been fortunate enough to develop not only my Level 6 in Early Childhood Studies, but I have had the opportunity to put my skills into practice in my final year working part-time at the Outstanding-rated nursery, Happy Days Exeter.
Alongside this, I have also had the chance to volunteer with the Royal Navy Family and People Support (RNFPS) as part of my placement module. The RNFPS is an organisation dedicated to supporting the welfare of the families within the armed forces. My time with the RNFPS extended beyond my placement, as I am now volunteering on a regular basis to help support the children of those families. This incredible and unique experience has driven me to apply for a Diploma in Youth and Community work as my final year at the University of Plymouth comes to an end. With a final push to complete my formative degree and a bit of luck, I hope this next step will only better my career within the childhood sector.
