Unhealthy lunches

Only one per cent of children's packed lunches meet school meal nutritional standards, according to researchers from the University of Leeds.

A study commissioned by the Food Standards Agency found that 82per cent of lunchboxes contained foods high in saturated fat, salt andsugar. Only one in five contained any vegetables or salad and about halfincluded a piece of fruit.
