(Photograph) - TV presenter Anna Ryder Richardson joined children from Abbey Hill Nursery in Edinburgh to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Children's Traffic Club in Scotland. In the past decade, the club has worked to halve the number of children killed or seriously injured on Scotland's roads, from 842 in 1994 to 381 in 2004. It is calling on parents to enrol their children in the club to boost road safety awareness. Research has found that 81 per cent of club members use pedestrian crossings compared with 50 per cent of non-members. Membership is free for three-and four-year-olds who receive six books on road safety. Visit www.trafficclub.co.uk.
