Operations manager Jenny Rabin said, 'We really want it to be used by early years groups and to be identified as an early years place.'
The centre will run a varied training programme offering one- day courses and evening seminars. Ms Rabin said Early Education also hopes to offer accredited training courses in the future and has appointed Meg Marshall, a qualified assessor for the Council for Awards in Children's Care and Education, as training manager to take this forward.
Ms Marshall, who takes up the post in April, previously worked as training manager for Islington's early years service and has worked as a teacher and in teacher training.
