The online version of the Common Assessment Framework (CAF), known as eCAF, has been launched by Capita Children's Services to help local authorities evaluate children's needs. The system is compliant with DfES requirements, and provides a full audit trail of individuals who have been in contact with a child and the services being provided. The system can be accessed online by authorised personnel from wherever it is convenient.
