The new chair of the Daycare Trust is Rita Stringfellow, who is a qualified teacher and social worker and has worked in both the voluntary and local government sectors. Ms Stringfellow managed local authority early years services for five years and led on childcare issues for the Local Government Association for a further ten years. She will take over from Lisa Harker, who has been chair of the Daycare Trust for the past four years. Ms Harker will remain on the charity's board of trustees.
