
The idea came from one of the parents, local artist Kendra Haste, who was inspired by the book. She volunteered to come into the nursery and help bring Smartest Giant to life. The children painted the giant, made his hair and crafted a giant golden crown and a tie to wear.
The nursery, which takes part in the Every Child a Talker (ECAT) programme, said, 'We know that making books come alive by planning exciting learning opportunities is really important for the children's language development.'
