in the Folkloric Dance Parade through the city.

The children of Cusco perform every year in a series of parades in national dress to celebrate the anniversary of the city in June.
National dances are also performed during the month by high school pupils, university students, market workers and senior citizens.
The celebrations culminate in the Day of Cusco, held on 24 June, coinciding with the Incan Festival of the Sun, Inti Raymi, which is also marked by a programme of events in the city throughout June.
The people of Cusco also hold art exhibitions, storytelling events, horse shows, bell-ringing displays and a coffee and chocolate evening as part of the jubilee and Inti Raymi.
