
We’re asking childminders, staff working in nurseries, pre-schools, schools and out-of-school provision to take part in our survey. The findings will be published in an upcoming issue of Nursery World.
It comes four years after we ran a survey back in 2019 – before the cost of living increased and inflation hit an all-time high - revealing that one in ten childcare workers are officially in poverty.
Previous research has highlighted how households are generally struggling to make ends meet due to the rise in the cost of living, impacting those with children and on low incomes hardest.
Meanwhile Government figures show there are now more families claiming universal credit. A teaching union also recently carried out a survey revealing the impact of rising costs on school support staff.
