STAR PHOTO:Sparklers Nursery

Provision
Sparklers Nursery in Annan, Scotland, was taken over by pirates during its first Bookbug session, the Scottish Book Trust's early years book gifting programme.

Children dressed in pirate costumes and made hats, maps and telescopes before embarking on a treasure hunt. Nursery manager Maureen Armstrong said, 'This scheme instils a life-long love of books from an early age.'
