How did you feel about being chosen as a finalist in the nationalWomen's Social Leadership Awards 2009?
I was thrilled. Just being recognised gives me affirmation that we areon the right track, as we have had such a huge mountain to climb toestablish Earlyarts. It's a great opportunity for national exposure anda chance to boost our profile.
How did you enter the award?
My colleagues nominated me and I helped to answer six in- depthquestions on the nomination form. I will find out if I have won thetitle this week at the Shine09 Unconference for Social Entrepreneursorganised by Ogunte, a social innovations and leadership developmentcompany.
Why did you set up Earlyarts?
I set it up in 2002 after speaking to early years providers about whatthey needed most. Our job is to build a bridge between the early yearsand the creative arts sector.
