How did you feel about being named the National Literacy Trust's EarlyReading Connects setting of the Year 2009?
I felt very proud. It's a credit to the team and how hard they work. It's nice to have the recognition when we work in a challenging areawith a lot of deprived families.
What do you do at the centre to motivate local children and families tolove language, stories and reading?
We hold workshops for parents and wait-and-play sessions. At the momentwe are trying to establish a group for teen parents and hope tointroduce a Story Sack library for the children who come to the centrewith their childminder.
