Nursery nurses in Falkirk, Stirling and Dundee will join the second wave of industrial action across Scotland this week for better pay, followed by East and West Dunbartonshire on 5, 6 and 7 August. Strikes in Inverclyde took place last week. Unison regional officer Ben McAllister said, 'Unison has been overwhelmed by the public support for nursery nurses. It's a shame the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities is failing to recognise this, and failing to move to end the dispute. This is the second six weeks of very solid action. The nursery nurses are absolutely determined to win their claim.' Nursery nurses have also been 'working to rule' since May, boycotting duties added to the job since the last pay and grading claim 15 years ago.
