Nannies are getting their feet up to help cancer research. A group of eight nannies who meet regularly for coffee mornings in Chiswick, London, are teaming up to do the charity Race for Life in Kempton Park on 7 July, and are looking for sponsors or donations. Helen Thomas, who's been a nanny for six years, says, 'We were all looking after children about the same age, and we all know somebody who's actually had cancer, and when we heard about the run I said, why not go as a team?' Helen says the nannies might make a banner to hold as they go round the course - which shouldn't be too difficult, as entrants can jog or walk as well as run. To support the nannies' efforts or make a donation for cancer research, ring 077661 90098.
