Plenty at 20

Your mention of my appointment as the National Childminding Association's new chair (News, 14 July) has resulted in my receiving lots of congratulations and best wishes, which was wonderful. It also resulted in some well-wishers querying why I was reported as 'registered to care for 20 children'. So, to put my Ofsted inspector's mind at rest, it should have read, 'registered to care for 20 children in total'. Like most registered childminders, by childminding some children on a part-time basis, before and after school, I care for many children - just not all at the same time!

I'd like to say thank you to everyone who sent me their best wishes.
