Children at Busy Bees BAE Systems Nursery in Warton, Preston, made rainbow puddles using coloured chalk mixed with water.
Nursery manager Naomi Jackson said, 'The children had an unplanned learning experience when they discovered that the chalk we use for outdoor play dissolves in water.'
