The Freemantle Early Years Team works with two reception classes atFreemantle Church of England School, an 80-place maintained nursery anda school-run children's centre. The team believes in giving childrenresponsibility for their own learning and works to foster theirindependence.
Nina Myszkowski, foundation stage leader, says, 'We have our own firepit at school, so the children can appreciate the need for fire safetyand also have the experience of toasting food around a fire in a safeand enjoyable way.'
The team works with children from various ethnic and culturalbackgrounds and 'celebrates our differences through everything wedo'.
Music is a big passion of the team; the children have achieved the 'SingUp' bronze and silver awards and are working towards their gold.
